Rest Is Radical: A Training in Restorative Practice & Presence
“Rest is not self-indulgence. Rest is not optional. Rest is self-preservation. Rest is respect for life.”
– Adelene Cheong
Course Overview
This 35-hour immersive training is an invitation to return to the wisdom of rest — not as a luxury, but as a vital practice of self-awareness, compassion, and wholeness.
Rooted in embodied experience and practical skills, this course supports practitioners and teachers alike in understanding the profound value of rest through restorative yoga. You’ll learn to create space — physically, mentally, emotionally — for deep healing and integration, both for yourself and for others.

My Yoga Journey: A Path of Healing and Sharing
My journey with yoga began not as a pursuit of flexibility, but as a deeply personal exploration to heal from the limitations imposed by scoliosis. As a teenager, I experienced the profound impact of chronic pain, the ever-present shadow of fear, and the frustration of feeling constrained by my condition. Living with scoliosis is equally challenging emotionally and mentally. These experiences instilled in me a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit.
Yoga became a beacon of hope, offering a path to reconnect with my body in a way that was gentle, supportive, and honoring of my condition. Through mindful movement, I began to cultivate a sense of inner resilience, learning to navigate my practice with greater grace and acceptance. This transformative experience ignited my passion for sharing the profound benefits of yoga.
